Throughout February and early March, we sought feedback from the community on 2 concept designs for the active recreation space at Hosken Reserve. We heard from over 200 people via an online survey and at 3 pop ups at the Reserve.

Community members were able to vote for their favourite of the 2 concept designs, and also rank their top 3 favourite pieces of equipment across both designs.

The community told us that the 4 main elements they want to see in the space are:

1. Park warrior course
2. Basketball/Netball half court
3. Bouldering unit
4. Fitness equipment (suitable for seniors)

The community also told us that:

• Both designs offer a diversity of activities, for a range of age groups.
• It is important to provide activities other than soccer in the space.
• They would like more shade and seating options.
• They would like other amenities included in the space, such as drinking fountains, barbeques, bins and public toilets.

Final concept design

A final concept design for the active recreation space has been developed based on the community's feedback. Works on the active recreation space are due to commence later this year. Use the hot spots below to find out what elements are in the space.
