At the beginning of 2024 we asked the community, 'What type of park would you like this to be?'

We heard from 346 people and their feedback informed the development of the draft concept plan.

We collected feedback from approximately 84 people about the draft concept plan. To find out more about what we learned in both our rounds of engagement, see Previous engagement.

We used this feedback to make some changes and this resulted in the final plan, seen below.

Take your time to explore the Final park design below

Further down the page you can see several views of the park design. Use the sliders to see what we anticipate these views will look like, both when the park is new, and when the plants are mature.

Click on the hotspots below to find out more about each element in our final design plan.

The top half of the concept plan shows an area with lots of pieces of playground equipment surrounded by wood chips. The bottom half of the plan is an open green space. the middle is bisected by shelters and arbours.

Compare the park when it is new, and when the plants have matured

The digital plants don't always look the same as the plants we will be using in the real park.

The maker of the images has to work with the plants that exist in the software.

We have done our best to find similar looking plants, but there are not many Australian native plants in the digital set.

There will be a majority of native plants in the park, as well as some deciduous trees for shade in summer and more light in winter.
