We know that road safety is a high priority to our community, and it’s one of the key values of our Moving Around Merri-bek transport strategy.
Everyone deserves to feel and be safe using roads. It’s Council’s job to deliver safetyimprovements on local streets, and to advocate for safer conditions across all Merri-bek streets – including on arterial roads managed by the State Government.
We’re hosting a forum to discuss road safety matters throughout Merri-bek to help us better understand our community’s experiences and ideas.
About the forum
The session will include a short series of presentations, followed by breakout group discussions, where participants can share their experiences and help shape Merri-bek City Council’s future projects and advocacy efforts.
Council staff and road safety experts will guide activities focused on local issues, priorities, and practical solutions to improve safety on Merri-bek roads.
The discussion at this forum will assist Council staff as they prepare the next Moving Around Merri-bek Action Plan, which outlines the planned actions for improving our transport network over the coming years.
Community input is valuable to this discussion, and we invite all interested Merri-bek community members to join us for this important and timely session.
