What we heard
In this second phase of engagement, we asked the community for feedback on the draft concept plan. We received 19 submissions which have informed the final concept plan.
Overall we received positive feedback on the design.
The final concept plan reflects some of the requests that we were able address like:
- Including a third picnic setting in a tree shaded area and additional seating
- Repositioning one of the fitness equipment stations so it is further away from adjacent street
- Adding and changing some play equipment and to better suit what is needed.
We are also undertaking a drainage investigation of the whole reserve to understand where issues are occurring and rectify them.
Please note that there are limited changes we can make to Morris Reserve without impacting the active sports elements like the sports oval, pavilion, netball courts and cricket nets. These areas are outside of our scope of works for the park and we are unable to change them.
