The steep hills on Cornwall Rd and Penzance St are likely to be avoided by cyclists, in favour of Kent Rd and Valerie St.

Implementing this route would require significant works including:

• Building a new shared path through Cole Reserve without impacting large trees and sporting facilities.
• Installing a new signalised crossing point of Cumberland Rd at Warwick St,
• Alterations to Warwick St which is not currently a cycling route,
• Installing a suitable crossing of Derby St at Warwick St
• Installing a separated bike lane on Derby St to make it suitable for new or less confident cyclists.
