We are giving the Merri-bek community a say in projects, initiatives, or programs that Council could include as part of the 2023/24 Budget.

A proposed total of $250,000 is available (subject to Council budget adoption) as part of the Community Budget Ideas Program.

Merri-bek residents, community groups, sporting clubs, businesses and organisations are all welcome to contribute.

The initiatives we received

In the first round of our engagement, we received an impressive number of community submissions. We thank the community for the time and effort they put into this process.

We are currently assessing the submissions against the selection criteria and all successful submissions will be included in Stage 2.

Help us decide which ones we should fund

Stage 2: Support will be your chance to support some of the initiatives which were submitted by the community, that Council could include as part of the 2023-24 Budget.

How does it work?

Merri-bek City Council acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Merri-bek, and pays respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as to all First Nations’ communities who significantly contribute to the life of the area.
