Council is commencing work on a development plan to improve the Brunswick Central Parklands. This 19 hectare parkland includes Gillon Oval, Brunswick Park, Clifton Park, Reaburn Reserve and Gilpin Park (see interactive Map below).
This Plan will set the strategic future direction for the open space and adjoining developments and provide a framework for new works and future upgrades with a 10-year horizon. Integrated water management (IWM) will be an important part of this plan to ensure we can sustainably respond to future demands from the community and climate change.
We would like to hear about your experiences in these parklands and get your feedback on what's important to you and how to improve them. We will also be organising some engagement events and activities in the next few months. Based on the feedback from the community, we will develop a draft Brunswick Central Parklands and IWM Plan that will then go out to the community for consultation.
