I am concerned that four bins is too many for me to take out safely on bin night.

In early 2020, the Victorian Government announced that all local council waste services will transition to a four-bin service to reduce waste to landfill, improve the quality of recyclables and have a system that we can rely on.

This change will see the introduction of a new ‘glass only’ recycling stream and a food and garden organics (FOGO) service for all households in Victoria.

Just like Marina, we understand that taking out and bringing back bins can be a demanding task for older members of our community.

We are keen to understand how any changes to our waste service can better meet the needs of our older residents including bin sizes and how often your bin is collected.

Does somebody help you to put your bins out? If so, who helps?

Which of the proposed options are best for you?

Should any groups be eligible for concession to the waste charge? What kind of concession do you think they should receive?

Thank you for completing our survey.

Your feedback will help us draft an updated Kerbside Waste Service and Charges Policy that we will present later in 2021.
