The area available in this park does not allow for a full-size fenced dog park which is why the initial park was constructed at Kingsford Smith Ulm Reserve. However, there was adequate support for a fenced dog area in Sewell Reserve to pursue the option. The first round of this consultation showed continuing support for the proposed dog park.

The plan displayed below allows for the following;

• circuit path to access around the rear of the dog park
• a high degree of natural shade and planting
• a variety of seating options
• a variety of terrain for dogs to navigate
• a central raised area that works as a seating edge
• double gated access points at each end
• drinking fountain with dog bowl
