As part of our ongoing commitment to improving facilities and open spaces for the community to enjoy, we are upgrading Rayner Reserve Pavilion in Oak Park.

Construction is planned to start early March until June 2024, we do not anticipate any significant impact to local residents or users of the pavilion during this time.

What is being upgraded?

The reserve is a local sports field that caters for soccer and cricket. The reserve also offers a small playground and BBQ area with a popular dog off leash park. The new upgrades will include:

  • Two upgraded changing rooms and amenities
  • Upgraded internal accessible toilet
  • Upgraded all-gender toilets
  • A new unisex umpires’ change room and amenities
  • A new first aid room
  • A new separate storage room
  • A new accessible public toilet facing the oval/playground constructed to the southern end of the pavilion. This will be open to the public between sunrise and sunset (maintenance will be monitored by council)

Works on the upgrade began in March 2024. We expect that the improvement works will be finished in June 2024.
