The first round of community engagement to inform this strategy ran from 24 July – 2 September 2023.

This engagement was based around a Discussion Paper. This document was developed with what we already know about transport in Merri-bek, through research, experience, established policy, and the many diverse voices of the community.

The Paper outlined 6 core themes that will guide the new strategy.

During this engagement period, there were many opportunities for our community to contribute – both in-person and digitally. We conducted pop-up information and discussion events in 6 unique locations across Merri-bek, held online webinars, and met with all of Council’s registered Advisory Committees and Reference Groups.

We received a significant number of responses to this engagement period, and we thank every community member who took the time to provide their feedback. You can read a summary of our consultation process and findings in our Engagement Report.
