What is happening at Hosken Reserve?

We will be planting more than 250 new native trees and shrubs around Hosken Reserve as part of this project. This will increase tree canopy coverage from 10.7% to 28%. As part of the construction works we will need to remove some trees, however, we are putting in place several considerations to retain as many trees as possible - the below landscaping map shows expected tree canopy coverage:

  • Existing trees to be retained and protected are shown in blue
  • Proposed new trees are shown in pink

We are also increasing the current 635 lm path network to 1515 lm which will make getting around Hosken Reserve a lot easier for everyone.
