What is planned?

We will be upgrading the park and playspace at Gervase Avenue Reserve in Glenroy.

This upgrade will include:

  • Relocating the playspace to a quieter reserve location away from the main road and overhead powerlines
  • An improved gathering space with additional seating and drinking fountain
  • Shelter over the gathering space and a shade sail over the playspace
  • A half basketball court in a location away from the main road and overhead powerlines
  • Installing access paths through the reserve and shade trees.

Please tell us about your experience of this park, what you love about it and what you think could be improved. Share your feedback before 25 July 2024, using the Phase 1: Gathering Ideas link below.

Your feedback will inform a draft concept plan on which you will be invited to provide comment before we finalise the design.

  • Phase 2: draft concept plan

How can the community influence this project?

What can be influenced?

  • Type of play equipment.
  • Location of seating and shade trees
  • Some improvements to the reserve

What can't be changed?

  • The playspace and gathering space areas have been pre-determined by council to avoid the main road and overhead power lines / other services.
  • No new elements can be positioned within the overhead power lines or gas line zones to comply with service authority requirements.
  • The final design must fit within the available budget.
