What we are proposing

The Doris Blackburn Preschool, located in the southwest corner of 20 Woodlands Avenue, Pascoe Vale South has one of the highest kindergarten enrolments in Merri-bek.

The proposed expansion of the Preschool will provide an additional kindergarten room to meet the service’s increasing enrolments and help cater for the recent introduction of funded three year old kindergarten by the Victorian Government.

The proposed expansion also aligns with Merri-bek City Council's Children, Young People and Families Plan and Early Years Infrastructure Plan.

Existing facilities at the Preschool

• two kindergarten rooms (52 student capacity)
• 26 car parking spaces

What is changing?

• an additional kindergarten room (extra 33 student capacity)
• additional landscaped playground area north of the proposed room
• a reduction to 15 car parking spaces to allow for building and playground upgrade
