Landscape concept plan

  • Removal of existing fence between Large and small dog areas to create 1 large area for active dogs (with intention to create a separated space for quiet, less active dogs).
  • 2 Small shelters with seating beneath.
  • Dog Sand pit with coarse sand for dog digging and easy maintenance.
  • River pebble area/pit for different, smooth surface textures.
  • Areas of timber sleepers used as pavers - including existing entries.
  • Agility/play features created with natural and recycled materials such as rocks, logs, concrete filled car and tractor tyres, bluestone blocks, pavers and tall timber posts.
  • Existing mounds levelled and low retaining wall built to mitigate erosion issues and create a level plateau.
  • Community notice board and signage at each entry.
  • Removal of all grass within the dog park (Compacted granitic sand and mulched areas to cover majority of the ground surface).
  • 1Removal of existing 'bog' area to assist maintenance and dog health.
  • Mulched areas beneath trees to assist growth and moisture retention whilst providing softer surfaces.
  • A perimeter path on the immediate edge of the fence so dogs can run along fence edges easily (As they like to do from observed behaviour).
  • Rubbish bins at each entry
  • New Park seating - long bench seats and seats with back and arm rests.
  • 3 additional solar park lights with timers.
  • Some additional trees planted within the fenced area and further tree and low shrub planting outside fenced area for amenity and maintenance requirements.
