Coburg Library & Piazza Engagement Summary

4 June 2026

Over March and April 2026, Council asked the community for feedback on the draft concept design for a new library and piazza in the heart of Coburg. There were online and in person opportunities to provide feedback and over 200 people participated including local stakeholders and Merri-bek Reference Group members.

The draft concept design was selected through a design competition, in which an expert jury awarded this winning design by the multidisciplinary team led by Durbach Block Jaggers, working in collaboration with Architecture Associates and Openwork.
