What is planned?

We will be upgrading the park and existing play space at Calder Reserve in Coburg.

Thanks for all the great feedback you provided during Gathering Ideas engagement earlier this year. This is summarised in the Feedback report on Phase 1 consultation, saved in the Document Library.

Using the ideas and suggestions from your feedback, we have prepared a Draft concept plan to share with everyone. We want to hear your thoughts on what's being proposed to guide us in preparing the Final concept plan.

Before actual upgrade works commence later this year, we have arranged for the old light pole in the play space to be removed as this is outdated equipment. We have also completed connection to mains water supply, with water meter now installed in the park, which will enable us to install a drinking fountain.

• The location of the playspace will need to be determined by Council.
• Very large play elements (like flying foxes) cannot be included in the playspace as there is limited space
• Dogs must be on leash
• The following items cannot be included in the park:
  • BBQs
  • Public toilets
  • Shade structure
• The final concept design must fit within the available budget.
