What we've done so far

Since November 2022, council has proactively engaged with residents to hear a broad spectrum of views and issues which are important to them. This period of engagement led to the adoption of Reshaping Brunswick, which will guide Council’s actions throughout the life of the project.

Activities included:

Issues and Oppurtunities Paper

In December 2022, Council Officers developed a document that captured some of the main issues and opportunities that we see for the Brunswick level crossing removals. This piece of work is a starting point for conversations with our community and we have already received valuable feedback on further local issues and opportunities to consider.

Public meeting

On Thursday, 2 March 2023 we held a public meeting at the Brunswick Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to bring everyone together to hear from each other, share what we'd heard so far, compare views and thoughts on the information collected and agree as a collective on what was most important to inform Council’s advocacy position.
