Balfe Park is an important shared space for sport and recreation in Brusnwick. Local residents and their pets use the open green space to exercise, rest or gather. The park is also also home to the Brunswick Zebras Football Club, which supports 42 teams across the Merri-bek.
We want to make sure the park can meet the evolving needs of the community into the future. In late 2026 we will begin works on Balfe park that will:
- Improve drainage
- Reshape the playing surface
- Upgraded the ground so it can sustain the level of community use.
- Level out the ground to make it safer and easier to use.
As we upgrade the ground, we are committed to environmentally friendly practices.
