August Council Meeting Update

17 August 2022

At the 10 August Council Meeting, Council made several decisions to provide more ways to get around in Moreland while acknowledging feedback from the community.

Following the 12-month trials, Council have resolved to permanently install the bike lanes on Dawson and Albion streets in Brunswick, and Northumberland Road Pascoe Vale. They also supported the permanent installation of the Shared Zones on Victoria and Albert streets in Brunswick.

The permanent designs will be modified based on community feedback and data gathered during the trial period.

Council also resolved to extend the separated bike lane trial on Kent Road, Pascoe Vale for another 12 months.

The extended trial will see the current design modified to address community concerns raised during the trial while maintaining physical separation for bike riders.
