About the proposed sale

Merri-bek City Council, acting under Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020, proposes to sell the former road adjoining 1 to 15 Marks Street, 2 to 16 White Street and 21 & 23 Audley Street, Coburg, by private treaty to the adjoining owners, circled below.

This notice is to inform the community that Council proposes to sell the following lots to the following abutting property owners, as shown on the plan below:

• Lot A 21 to Audley Street, Coburg
• Lots 12 & 13 to 5 Marks Street, Coburg
• Lot 9 to 15 Marks Street, Coburg

As part of its Community Engagement Policy, Council is inviting submissions on the proposal to sell land. Any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing by no later than 5.00 pm on Friday 17 March 2023.

A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person in support of the submission, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, at the Hearing of Submissions Committee to be held at a date and time to be determined by Council.

Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the land, part of the land, or not to sell the land.
