As part of our ongoing commitment to improving facilities and open spaces for the community to enjoy, we are upgrading Parker Reserve Pavilion in Coburg North.

Construction is planned to start early March until June 2024, we do not anticipate any significant impact to local residents or users of the pavilion during this time.

What is being upgraded?

The reserve is a local sportsfield that caters for baseball and cricket. The reserve also offers a playground and BBQ area with a popular dog off leash park. The new upgrades will include:

Baseball pavilion:

  • Upgraded changing room and amenities
  • Upgraded umpires’ change room and amenities
  • Upgraded all-gender toilets
  • Upgrading the internal accessible toilet
  • A new accessible public toilet to be constructed to the northern end of the baseball pavilion, facing the baseball pitch/playground to the north. This will be open to the public between sunrise and sunset (maintenance will be monitored by council)

South Pavilion:

  • Upgraded changing room and amenities
  • A new accessible toilet (will only be accessible for pavilion users)

Existing storeroom (old sub-station):

  • Convert existing storeroom for the cricket and baseball clubs

Existing public toilets

  • Existing public toilets to remain as are (maintenance will be monitored by council).

Works on the upgrade began in March 2024. We expect that the improvement works will be finished in June 2024.
