Background

Making Moreland more accessible and inclusive of people with disability is a Council priority. Our vision is for an inclusive Moreland where people with disability are equal members of the community and have the opportunity to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives. The Moreland Disability Access and Inclusion Plan provides Council with a roadmap on how it will achieve this vision over the next four years.

As part of Council’s review of its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, we have developed a draft of the new plan and we want you to let us know what you think.

The draft was developed in consultation with people with disability, families, carers, advocates, service providers and people with an interest in the human rights of people with disability. An evaluation report is available that summarises the findings of the consultations. We have listened and hope to have addressed the concerns and interests of people in our community, especially people with disability.

Feedback welcome

We want to hear from people with disability, their families, carers, service providers, advocates, the business community, and anyone with an interest in the human rights of people with disability. This could be comments, suggestions, and or questions on how we can improve the draft.
