Store your food right

Getting your food storage right keeps all the ingredients and produce you spent time and money on as fresh as possible for as long as possible until you use them.

The main causes of food spoilage are exposure to oxygen, moisture or heat which can causebacteria or mould to grow.

Designate a shelf or area near the top or front of your pantry, fridge and freezer for your oldest items so they are visible and easy to access. This will remind you to use them first. Get into the habit of regular checks of what you already have in your pantry, fridge and freezer (see Week 2)
