As part of the changes in the play space at Garrong Park that were notified recently, some of the existing play equipment is being removed shortly, so it can be installed in other Moreland parks that are being upgraded.

This will mean both the combination play unit with two slides and the climbing hut in sandpit, will be dismantled and transported away.

Those works are planned to occur during the week commencing 4 April 2022, and are expected to be completed during a single day, weather permitting.

There will be machinery brought into the park for this work to be carried out and the play space will be cordoned off for safety reasons while that occurs.

The sandpit will then remain in place until the new equipment is ready to be installed in May.

Hopefully no-one will feel too inconvenienced during this time and people will enjoy the new play equipment once all the works are completed
