At its most recent Meeting in March, Council resolved to defer any decision on play equipment at Garrong Park until after the park is opened, following completion of the toilet building.

Construction of the park itself is mostly completed, while construction of the toilet building has experienced some delays and is now planned for completion in May 2021.

Understanding that people have been waiting patiently for the park finally to be opened, it is planned to remove the perimeter construction fence so the main areas of the park are available for use shortly before Easter, in March 2021.

Work on the toilet building will be ongoing after that time, with the construction area cordoned off for safety until its planned completion in May 2021. Prior to that time, a further update will announce the official opening of Garrong Park.
